The Lake school fete helps raise much needed funds

THE Lake Primary School is a step closer to refurbishing its tennis and basketball court area after a well attended fete.

Many people made their way to the Lake Primary over its fete weekend, welcoming the event's return after a two-year COVID-forced hiatus.

There were about 18 market stalls, as well as entertainment and activities, like yabby racing and keg rolling races.

Principal Bernadette Warburton said money raised was going towards the refurbishment of the tennis and basketball court area.

"It's badly in need of repair and it will require the school to find a substantial amount of money to do that," she said.

"We are hoping to not only resurface, but to eventually put on a roof."
