OLYMPIC fever took over Nichols Point Primary School on Thursday, when hundreds of youngsters showed off their skills in track and field events, before making a surprise return to remote learning after the lockdown announcement.

In the school's athletics carnival, students from all grades took part in everything from sprints and shot put to high and long jumps.
