MERBEIN P-10 College's acting principal said there were "tears of joy" after Tuesday's announcement of $5.9 million in long-awaited funding for the school.

Infrastructure funding for Merbein P-10 was promised more than a decade ago, when four Merbein schools were merged into the new P-10 College, but the school was snubbed repeatedly until Tuesday's state budget announcement.
