Red Cliffs Cricket Association preview Round 10

Robinvale Euston v Ouyen Rams

OUYEN have pushed themselves to the top of the RCCA A Grade table following their victory in the top of the table clash with Nursery Ridge last week.

That’s now six wins on the trot for the Rams, but the games don’t get easier as they come up against an impressive Robinvale Euston side at Les Arnott Oval.

While Conor Schultz has been the main run scorer at the top of the order, Daniel Pryse (57) and Ethan Munro (42) did most of the damage with the bat against Ridge, before Evan Comrie starred with the ball, taking 3/7 from seven overs.

The Rangers put in an impressive performance of their own against Millewa, chasing a tricky target of 181, just getting home with a wicket and four overs to spare.

Tom Lister (46), Don Falvo (39 not out) and Bernie Marson (33) steered the run chase home after most of the bowlers got in on the action.

Expect a great contest down at Robinvale.

Nursery Ridge v Tempy

Nursery Ridge will be smarting and looking to return to the winners list against a struggling Tempy outfit today.

The Tigers, who were in the grand final against Ridge last year, have won just the solitary game and are coming off a loss to Cardross.

Despite last week’s lost to Ouyen, Jason Finch continued his wicket-taking form, now moving up to 18, while Haydn Falconer’s 23 in the lower order was important.

For Tempy, Tyson Monaghan’s 34 was vital in a team total of 58, while Dylan Davies and Joel Grace each took three wickets.

Millewa v Cardross

After their first win since the opening round, Cardross are looking to shift Millewa out of the top four today.

Ben and Jeremy Aworth (25 and 23 respectively) put in handy knocks last week, while Seth Langian finished with an incredible 5/3, and the competition-leading wicket taker Noah Lanigan was at it again with 5/23. All 10 wickets between them for just 26 runs.

It was harsh on Millewa that they dropped what turned out to be a tense finish, especially after Andrew Durie busted out a score of 89, the highest individual A Grade innings this season.
Anthony Carroll and Nick Clark each took three wickets last week and can be dangerous with the ball.
