Girls chase more trophies

SUNRAYSIA will be looking to claim more silverware at the Western Victoria Cup girls’ cricket tournament in Hamilton from Monday.

Sunraysia sent an under-13 team to the inaugural competition last season and came up trumps.

This year Sunraysia is sending an under-18 girls’ team, and under-16 girls’ team and two under-14 girls’ sides.

The under-18 team will be coached by Settlers’ Jenny Donnelly, former Victorian player Rhiann O’Donnell takes the reins of the under-16s while Mildura West teammate Breanna Smith and Nichols

Point’s Jarryd Gahan and Jess De Tarczynski and Workers Gol Gol’s Paige McInnes will look after the under-14s.

The teams will play the Warrnambool, Colac, Hamilton, Ballarat and Wimmera cricket associations from Monday to Wednesday.
