Back-to-back Sheffield Shield double tons is certainly nothing to be sneezed at.
The 22-year-old was on the cusp last year before admirably putting his hand up and asking selectors not to be considered due to mental health concerns and looks like that was the right thing for his career.
Having met him in 2017 when he came to Mildura as part of Cricket Victoria’s Diamonds In The Bush program, I was impressed with his maturity – even as a teenager.
There’s little doubt he will get his chance at senior international level sooner rather and later and hopefully we’ve got another star batsman on our hands.
