NURSERY Ridge and Ouyen Rams have been declared the respective Red Cliffs Cricket Association A and B Grade premiers after the association’s board cancelled the upcoming finals series.
In a statement, the RCCA board said the decision was made following detailed explanations of the COVID-19 virus situation and the expectation of Cricket Australia and Cricket Victoria that all cricket activities cease as of Tuesday.
The expectation was based on high-level medical advice and the overriding desire to protect players, umpires, families, supporters, juniors and the general cricket community.
The RCCA presentation evening, which was set to be on Tuesday, has also been cancelled and will be held at a date to be advised.
