Tankard wins U16 medal after consistent season

A CONSISTENT season by Workers Gol Gol-Nichols Point opening batsman Zac Tankard has delivered him the John Hall Medal as the SCA under 16 best and fairest.

Tankard polled 18 votes to beat Irymple spinner Jack Baird, runner-up with 12 votes, at last night’s count at Henshilwood Oval.

Merbein South/East’s Jackson Malycha polled 11 votes to finish third.

In Tankard’s 10 matches, he polled in all but two, scoring 268 runs through the season at an average of 89.33.
