Barker shines with the bat for Irymple

IRYMPLE under-14 Division 1 opener Jack Barker is the Sportspower Mildura Juniors Player of the Week.

Barker scored 51 runs for his side in their total of 196 against Coomealla Wentworth at Coomealla on Saturday.

It was Barker’s top score for the club, taking him to 132 runs for that grade this season at an average of 22.

Barker will be an important player for his side this weekend with the ball, with best figures of 3/8 for the season in under-14s at an average of 8.83.

He has also played some senior cricket, with a five-wicket haul to his name in Third Division.

As the Sportspower Mildura Juniors Player of the Week, Barker receives a $20 voucher donated by Sportspower in recognition of his performance.
