Wil Parker shines in Victoria Sheffield Shield debut

VICTORIAN debutant Wil Parker was his side’s leading first innings wicket taker in Sheffield Shield cricket against New South Wales.

The grandson of Sunraysia sporting icon Brian Weightman claimed 3/54 from 25 overs, with Test centurion Kurtis Patterson (54), Moises Henrques (49) and Daniel Solway (17) his victims.

New South Wales were bowled out for 310 on Sunday, 131 shy of Victoria’s 7/431 first innings total.

Victoria were batting on yesterday afternoon looking to extend their lead and put themselves in position for a first victory of the season.
