THE Sunraysia Cricket Association’s Melbourne Country Week squad is expected to be announced on Tuesday after a final training run at Mildura Settlers Cricket Club.
Nichols Point coach Shaun Mathews has been heading the association’s campaign, with renewed interest in representative cricket after a year away from the tournament.
A host of the SCA’s big names have already committed to country week, with the likes of Settlers premiership captain Braidyn Turner, Irymple captain Jordan Payne and Nichols Point captain Brad Thomas all signalling their intent to take part.
Melbourne Country Week starts on February 17.
