NICHOLS Point Under 14 Division 1 cricketer Brodie Ryan capped off a brilliant all-round performance against Mildura West at the weekend to claim this week’s Mildura Sportspower Juniors Player of the Week award.
Having scored a team-high 62 in week one of the round 6 encounter, helping his side to an impressive 230, the left-arm wrist spinner took the ball at the weekend and finished with six wickets for the day across two West innings.
He claimed 5/24 in the first innings from eight overs to be the pick of the bowlers, seeing West out for 76.
With their opponents sent back in, Ryan then took the sole wicket of West’s second innings as they finished the day and the game on 1/94.
Ryan’s second-innings figures were 1/6 from two overs.
As the Mildura Sportspower Juniors Player of the Week, Ryan receives a $20 voucher from Mildura Sportspower in recognition of his performance.
