Strong start for Sunraysia under 13 cricketers

SUNRAYSIA’S under 13 cricketers got off to a good start in round one of Junior Country Week last month with a strong win over Red Cliffs Cricket Association/Central Region.

Winning the toss and batting, Sunraysia made 185 from their 40 overs with Setts’ Monty Maloney (32 retired) and Irymple’s Jack Barker (31 retired) leading the charge.

Ouyen’s Jack Wisneske took 2/13 to be the best of his side’s bowlers. The RCCA/Central team was bowled out for 89, with Wisneske’s 17 their only score in double figures.

Merbein South’s Ethan Walder took 3/13 in a good bowling display for Sunraysia.
