THE Mildura local government area has recorded another 27 new COVID cases and the number of active cases has risen to 301.
Monday’s new-case figure was down 14 from the previous day and came after a weekend of almost 100 new cases. In the Robinvale postcode, outside the LGA, two new cases were recorded on Monday, for a total of 30 active cases.
The number of COVID-related fatalities reported in Victoria on Monday was eight, following recent daily highs over 20. A death toll of 27 was recorded in NSW
There were 2779 COVID patients being treated in NSW hospitals and 185 of these were in intensive care. In Victoria, there were 873 people being treated in hospital, including 64 in ICU.
