PEOPLE travelling to South Australia from Mildura and other moderate-risk local government areas no longer need to isolate until receiving COVID-19 test results.
Changes to entry requirements for moderate-risk municipalities and Nhill residents came into effect at 5.15pm on Friday.
Previously, travellers arriving from those areas were required to test upon arrival and quarantine until receiving a negative test result.
Under the new requirement, they must test on arrival in South Australia and are only required to quarantine until a test is taken.
Travellers from Mildura were being tested at the Yamba border checkpoint last week.
However it is strongly recommended a person who has received a COVID-19 test should limit their contact with others to avoid they and their contacts all having to quarantine if the test result is positive.
Other moderate-risk requirements remained unchanged, including having a negative result for a test taken within 72 hours of arrival and filling out an application at the EntryCheck SA web page.
