SA open to vaccinated Victorian travellers

FULLY vaccinated travellers will be able to enter South Australia from Tuesday without entry conditions after the state reached its 80 per cent double-dose vaccination target.

Changes to South Australia’s border restrictions this month allow fully vaccinated travellers from Victoria to enter the state if they have completed an EntryCheck SA application before arrival.

The COVID-19 vaccination requirements will apply to all travellers over 12 years and two months of age.

Barring evidence of community transmission, vaccinated travellers will not need to satisfy further entry conditions. Mildura, along with Wentworth, is classed as level 1, or very low risk (with no community transmission). The only requirement will be the completion of an EntryCheck SA application.

Two cases were identified in Mildura over the weekend. These, reported on Saturday, left total active numbers at 22.

Travellers from Swan Hill, which had no new cases at the weekend and three active cases, will need to take a COVID-19 test 72 hours before arrival in South Australia.

As Swan Hill is classed as level 2, or low risk, travellers will also need to monitor symptoms for 14 days using the HealthCheck SA app.

Unvaccinated travellers are not permitted to enter the state without applying for an exemption to travel through EntryCheck SA.
