VICTORIA had 2189 new cases of COVID-19 on Friday.
Mildura had 13 new cases and the Robinvale postcode had one new case.
The Health Department was notified of 16 COVID-19 deaths in Victoria.
There were 784 COVID cases in hospital, 145 of those in intensive care. Of these people, 94 were on ventilators.
Chief Health Officer Brett Sutton said 90.5 per cent of Victorians aged 16 and over had had at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine and 71.1 per cent have had two doses.
