FROM midnight a household can have up to 30 visitors over the course of a day.
Victorian Premier Daniel Andrews announced a "significant" easing of restrictions to take place from 11.59pm Sunday.
This included bringing forward the easing of gathering restrictions, with 30 people from any number of households able to visit a home, and up to 100 people can gather in public at a time.
From 11.59pm tonight up to 30 visitors daily from any number of households to home over the course of a day.
The relaxation comes as Victoria recorded its 37th day with zero confirmed new cases across state
"This is a remarkable achievement," Andrews said.
"It is something every Victorian owns, it is something every Victorian has built."
Wedding and funerals will now be allowed one person per two square metres with no attendance cap, however in-home weddings must adhere to the 30 person limit.
Dancefloors at weddings and in hospitality venues can have one person per four square metres with a cap of 50
Hospitality venues will move from 11.59pm to one person per two square metres indoors and outdoors, with no cap.
Up to 25 patrons will be permitted in venues before the density quotient kicks in.
Standing service will now be able to resume.
Nightclubs will be able to operate under one person per two square metres.
The same dancefloor rules for wedding applies.
Libraries will be able to open with one person per two square metres.
In gyms, the density limit will move to one person per 4 square metres – with exercise classes limited to 50 indoors and 100 outdoors.
Masks must now be carried by everyone at all times and worn in indoor shopping centres, supermarkets and department stores, indoor markets and on public transport and commercial vehicles.
They will be strongly recommended indoor or outdoors when a person can't social distance, such as in an office setting, but will not be mandatory.
Subject to public health advice as close to date as possible the private sector will be able to move to 50 per cent of employees in the office from January 11.
The public service will move to 25 per cent in the office from that date, and 50 per cent from February 8 subject to public health advice.
