SUNRAYSIA's Sri Lankan community celebrated a traditional New Year at Aerodrome Ovals on the weekend.

Typically held on April 14, the festival is often celebrated with a mix of rituals, games, and traditional sweets.

The celebration on Saturday allowed people to exchange blessings in the hopes of a prosperous year, and to come together as a family and a community.
