NINE cubs and four accompanying adults from 5th Mildura Scout group began a trek to Uluru on Thursday morning after successful fundraising efforts.

Half of the trio are backed by the Dick and Pip Smith Leadership Through Adventure Fund, which ten-year-old patrol leader Sophie Loughhead successfully applied for last year.
