IF it weren't for the support of the close-knit community, Ouyen could have been "at serious risk of harm" last week after communications went down at the Ouyen Pharmacy, its pharmacist says.

Stormy weather cut communications, including internet and phone calls, at the only pharmacy within a 100km radius.
