MEMBERS of Sunraysia's Filipino community gathered on Wednesday to recognise 126 years since the Philippines became free from Spanish colonial rule.

Onlookers danced, sang and recited a pledge of loyalty during a flag-raising ceremony at the Salvation Army on Fourteenth Street and Etiwanda Avenue.
