WHILE Mildura's river sandbars are out of action due to flooding, kids have been enjoying a bit of sand between their toes in Langtree Mall.
Locals and visitors have been taking the opportunity to play in the sand at the City Beach this week, building sandcastles and playing games during the school holidays.
The City Beach is free to attend and runs from January 3 to January 23 under the pavilion.
Adult supervision is required at all times for children aged 12 years and under.
