Mildura City Heart School Holiday Program

Langtree Mall – 11am and 2pm

JOIN the lovely people from Collins Booksellers and Sunraysia Arts and Learning for a morning of story time and music from 11am, where little ones can enjoy a few stories read aloud, with some breaks to show off their musical skills. From 2pm, Banjo's is hosting biscuit decorating, where kids can make their own sugary creation.

Vic Wide Family Fun Fair

Mildura Racecourse – 1pm-late

MILDURA Racecourse has been a whirlwind of fun throughout the school holidays, which wrap up this weekend. There are all sorts of carnival favourites like dodgem cars, a ferris wheel, jumping castle, show bags and more. Gold coin donation entry.

Call of Duty Cold War competition

Online – 2pm-4pm

THINK you have what it takes to be named the best Call of Duty player in Sunraysia? Join Mildura Youth Services and Tech Lab Mildura's school holiday competition. Night at the Museum

Wentworth Military Collection – 7pm

THE Wentworth Military Collection is hosting a night tour this Friday. Tours will include the 70-minute Marching Matilda Experience which guides visitors through the extensive collection of exhibits. Backstage Pass

Mildura Arts Centre Online – 7pm

TUNE into the Arts Centre's Facebook or YouTube channels on Friday night to see local singer-songwriter Brandon Kitt performing live on the MAC stage. Kitt will perform original tracks from his forthcoming EP, as well as older tracks.

Sunraysia Farmers Market and Riverfront Boutique Market

HELD on the banks of the Murray River, the farmers' market offers a bounty of produce from local growers and makers, with everything from fresh veg to dried fruit and baked goods. The big farmers' breakfast spread with freshly squeezed juice is always a hit. This week, the market will also include local artists and makers from the Riverfront Boutique Markets, with all sorts of jewellery, art, candles and textiles.

Red Cliffs Country Market

RED Cliffs famous market is back after a few months away, and it'll be back better than ever this weekend. The Red Cliffs market is everything you expect from a country market and more. Sprawling through the town centre and Barclay Square, the market has something for everyone, including food, plants, jams and preserves, craft, bric-a-brac and jewellery. There are very limited ATMs in Red Cliffs, so getting some cash out in advance might be a good plan.

Red Cliffs Historical Steam Railway

Corner of Calder Highway and Millewa Road, Red Cliffs – 11am-4pm

AS one of the few small-gauge railways in Australia and the only steam train open to visitors in the Mallee, this train is something special. Returning for the first time since early this year, the heritage locomotive Lukee will be available for steam train rides on Sunday, departing the historic Karadoc Railway Station every half hour. Mildura Riverfront Tree Trail

Mildura Riverfront – 7am-4pm

THE Tree Trail, launching this weekend, encourages children and grown-ups alike to appreciate some of the special trees in Mildura and understand the roles trees play in our region, including cooling the air and producing oxygen. Pick up a trail map from Bobby + Me or Shippy's Café and follow the trail to learn about 27 native and exotic trees. Each tree will be marked with identification tags featuring interesting facts, and the tags will remain on trees after this weekend so residents can enjoy the Tree Trail whenever they like.

Seniors Festival

Mildura Libraries – during opening hours

DURING October, all over 60s who join or renew their library membership will get a free calico library bag – just visit the local library and show ID.
