THE Hogarth Cup, a highly anticipated amateur boxing competition, takes place this Saturday at the Hothouse.

Since its humble inception, the event hosted annually by Ladd's Boxing Gym has grown into a must-watch boxing event in Mildura, drawing fighters from across the country.

Coach Jackson Ladd said a few other boxing gyms had run events, "but nothing of this size".
