Baker’s Delight on a roll

BAKERS Delight is set to make a grand return to Mildura, almost ten years since its close in 2017.

A return to the region has been on the development wishlist for some time, according to Baker’s Delight head of communications and corporate affairs Scott Darkin.

“We’ve been contacted many times both by local landlords and the general community about coming back,” he said.

“We know that Mildura has a very dynamic food culture so we’re confident there will be a strong demand for our wide range of daily fresh baked goods.

“The Baker’s Delight brand has been built on a promise to deliver delightful products through delightful service, and we’ll definitely be bringing that experience with us.

“We also actively encourage our bakery owners to connect with and support local schools, charities and sporting clubs wherever they can, giving back to the community is a big part of our DNA.”

Mr Darkin said while the search for a franchisee to own and operate the location is still ongoing, there is a site already in mind.

“If we can find the right candidate to come on board soon we’ll be able to get on with the build and training as soon as possible with the view to open the doors in time for Easter 2026,” he said.

“That opening week is going to be really exciting, it’s a very festive time for us with lots of fun activities and giveaways to help kick things off once the ovens fire up.

“We’re confident we will quickly build a very strong and loyal customer base in Mildura.”

Anyone, and particularly locals, interested in becoming a franchisee with Baker’s Delight is encouraged to contact the franchising team on 1300 309 759 or through the Baker’s Delight website.
