Grants available for regional Victorian businesses

BUSINESSES in regional Victoria forced to close because of tougher coronavirus restrictions that take effect this week can apply for a $5000 grant, Premier Daniel Andrews has announced.

From 11.59pm Wednesday, regional Victoria will return to stage 3 restrictions.

Cafes and restaurants will be limited to takeaway and delivery, while beauty and personal services, as well as entertainment and cultural venues, will have to close.

In his Monday press conference, Mr Andrews said the $5000 grant would be made available with the same criteria as the previous stage 3 restrictions period.

Information about business support measures can be found on the Business Victoria website.
