Building with a vision on Deakin Avenue site

MILDURA’S latest multi-million-dollar development is on track to be completed by next March.

The development, on the corner of Ninth Street and Deakin Avenue, will feature five luxury apartments, a restaurant and three to four stores.

The building is set to cost more than $10 million to construct and is aimed at buyers wanting stylish inner-city living.

Developer Garry Davison said despite the COVID-19 pandemic the building was still on track to be completed by March.

“It’s going to be a very good-looking building and the view from up on top is really good,” he said.

“You’ll be able to look over the old Mildura Club, down to the Chaffey statue and the rotunda.”

Mr Davison said although the building was modern it was stylish and people interested in buying an apartment had a great deal of flexibility.

People who buy off the plan can pick their own layout and fixtures.

“We’re going to do it all, but if someone buys it and they have an alternative idea for it, we can look after them,” Mr Davison said.

“It will look fabulous — all of the apartments have got their own carpark and cage and an elevator to the apartment.”

The apartments will also feature private balconies and courtyards, plus the convenience of being in town.

So far one of the five apartments has been sold.

Mr Davison said it was great to see how well the new building was being received by the community.
