Mildura’s Lake Park Estate goes on the market

MILDURA’S largest housing estate, with more than 400 allotments, is officially on the market.

Lake Park Estate – set on a 90-acre parcel of land on the corner of Sixteenth Street and Riverside Avenue – will accommodate forecast population growth in a new super-suburb in Mildura South.

A television and online marketing campaign launched this month has already enticed 26 potential buyers, who have either inquired about securing land or have put their desired block on hold.

Listing agent Rico D’Amico said the development was going to be “huge” for the region.

“This will be the biggest estate in the history of Mildura and that is a really exciting opportunity,” he said.

“We’ve had a total of 26 inquiries and five lots have been secured.”

Allotment sizes range between 450 and 1300 sq m, designed to appeal to families, working professionals, investors and retirees. Lake Ranfurly and Lake Hawthorn are a stone’s throw away.

The development has been described as a “passion project” driven by Mildura’s Dolfen Developments.

Developer Larry Dimasi said on Friday construction was planned to begin within the next fortnight pending final council approvals.

“I love Mildura … it’s my home and I’m passionate about the community,” he said.

“From an economic point of view, it will generate a massive amount of benefits to the community, along with consolidating our whole residential network.

“We’re just waiting on approval for the generic plan and once that has been signed off, we can commence construction within a fortnight and move heavy machinery on site.”
