Mildura Fifteenth Street car yard set for March finish

MILDURA’S biggest car yard is only months away from opening, with construction near completion.

The Fifteenth Street site will soon become a one-stop shop showcasing a range of popular vehicle brands.

Davison Motor Group director Garry Davison said the project was “right on time” and anticipated it would be completed by the end of March.

“The ceilings are currently going in, it’s been painted and in the workshop all the new hoists have arrived … so it’s all going really good,” he said.

“At the moment, it will be the biggest one in Mildura and probably the whole of country Victoria.”

Ensuring the new vehicle hub meets environmental standards was also a top priority, according to Mr Davison.

“It’s going to be sustainable … we’re going to harvest the rainwater in our gardens and for washing … we’ll have full solar and it will be very environmentally friendly,” he said.

“It’s all fitted out for when the electric cars become popular … we’ll have it all electric-friendly.”

Brands at the new site will include Chrysler, Ford, Holden, Jeep, Kia, Mitsubishi, Suzuki, RAM Trucks and Volkswagen.
