Sunraysia’s TV popularity means more Postcards

POPULAR television program Postcards is planning a return trip to Sunraysia this year to film an episode showcasing Mildura and Wentworth.

Mildura Regional Development and the Nine Network are working together to create a 30-minute program that will highlight tourism experiences and attractions in the region.

The decision for the Postcards team to return follows the success of the 2018 Mildura episode which won the time slot for the network that particular week.

“This is an excellent opportunity, a full 30-minute program dedicated to our region and broadcast nationally, provides fantastic exposure for our entire range of visitor experiences within the tourism industry,” MRD chief executive Brett Millington said.

“Our aim is to showcase the best of our region. We want to be renowned as a vibrant inland regional city and we have some great marketing activities in the pipeline for 2020 to help build that awareness.”

Presenter Bec Judd last visited Mildura in 2018 with the Postcards crew and filmed segments with 12 local businesses.

Mildura’s riverfront precinct, Brass Monkey restaurant and Fossey’s Ginporium were some of the attractions featured in the high-rating episode.
