Kmart Mildura open for business after brief closure

CHRISTMAS shoppers in Mildura were given an early scare on Thursday when the doors to Kmart were closed.

Crowds converging on the store in the morning were greeted by a sign on the door stating the store was closed “due to electrical issues”.

But fortunately the issues were resolved within hours and the popular Eighth Street store reopened in time for the Christmas rush.

Thursday’s brief closure came after Kmart was closed for more than two weeks in September after a fire caused more than $100,000 worth of damage.

Sunraysia Daily contacted Kmart for comment.
