Mildura fashion designer siblings eye entrepreneur award

SISTERS really are doin’ it for themselves in the case of Mildura-raised Bianca and Bridgett Roccisano.

The siblings, fashion designers and event stylists can now add entrepreneur to their growing list of accomplishments after becoming finalists in the 2019 Melbourne Young Entrepreneur Awards.

Having established their professional styling service, Melbourne Stylists, in 2010, Mildura’s fashion gurus launched their own clothing label, Bianca and Bridgett, which immediately made waves in the fashion world.

Their designs have been worn by an array of celebrities including Roxy Jacenko, Natalie Bassingthwaite, Bec Judd and Rozalia Russian.

The most recent business venture for the girls was the design and production of a breast-lift tape called Booby Tape, which is now stocked in Myer, David Jones and Chemist Warehouse stores across Australia, including in Mildura.

“We’re both in shock and overwhelmed with our nomination for the Melbourne Young Entrepreneur Awards,” Bianca said.

“We feel completely honoured to be considered for this incredible achievement. Since we were little girls we could only dream of owning a business – we wanted to be like our parents.

“So to be nominated for an award like this is so special.”

“Bianca started crying when we received the email,” Bridgett said.

“The past few months have been overwhelming with the launch of Booby Tape – it feels like a dream for a product we created in stores we have grown up shopping in.”

An awards ceremony for all finalists will be held next month.
