THE 2024/25 lawn bowls season is getting ready to roll, and in anticipation of both Saturday and midweek pennant play, competitors 60 years and older took to the greens on Sunday morning.
Players from Bowls Sunraysia took part in a first to 21 singles comp, with the winners heading to the next level of play at the Murray Mallee Bowls Region.
In the women’s tournament Mildura Bowling Club’s Judy Osborne defeat Carolyn Coles from Red Cliffs 21-15.
The men’s event saw Mildura Bowling Club representative Chris Mitchell take down Fred Bacon from the Mildura Workers.
Action in the Bowls Sunraysia Saturday Pennant gets underway on Sunday, September 29, with Midweek Pennant play starting up from Monday, October 8.
