MILDURA Heat’s hopes of hosting a semi-final of the Country Basketball League’s North West semi-finals were crushed on a miserable double-header road trip at the weekend.

An under-populated squad of eight was overwhelmed by top of the table Bendigo Braves on Sunday afternoon at Red Energy Arena and will have to settle for third on the ladder after the 10-game regu
