THE Bendigo Spirit assisted some youthful counterparts in a friendly 3x3 basketball competition on Thursday at Mildura Sporting Precinct.

In the lead-up to their exhibition game against the Mildura men's CBL team on Saturday, the WNBL squad made time to referee excited children playing the ever-growing modern format of basketball.
