IT was all fun in the sun, or preferably the shade, at the Merbein Hotel on Saturday, when the venue staged its second Summerfest event.
Held in the pub's beer garden and hosted by the G&T Schnitzel Bar, the show featured music from Parle Brothers, Overtime and Levi Smith, as patrons enjoyed the vibe beneath umbrellas on a day when the mercury stayed above 30 degrees from 11.30 in the morning until 9pm, the peak of 37.4 degrees coming at 5pm.
That was quite a bit cooler than Sunday's top of 40.8 degrees. Mildura highs for the rest of the week are expected to stay in the low 30s.
Overnight lows are expected to be in the mid-teens, and no rain is forecast.
