Mallee pioneers' legacy on show at Mildura Arts Centre
RED Cliffs identities of the past Eileen Ramsay and Les Chandler will be reunited at Mildura Arts Centre (MAC), through a collection of exhibitions celebrating their work.

Mrs Ramsay (nee Couve), known for her passion for botany and the written word, moved to Red Cliffs with her family after her younger brothers Alan and Tom were killed at Gallipoli in 1915.

Taken by the Mallee scrub, she began collecting plants, gathering more than 1000 specimens over a decade and adding 10 species to the list of plants formally recorded in Victoria.
