A PROPOSED two-year, $8 million "trail of lights" display moved a step closer to seeing the light of day this week after Mildura Regional Development (MRD) finalised the business case for the "major tourism drawcard".

The plan is for renowned light artist Bruce Munro's installation to be located at Lake Cullulleraine, near the camping grounds, and a further one just over the river near Wentworth.
