2024 Youth Showcase

Mildura Arts Centre – 6pm-10pm

CELEBRATE local young people at an event organised by youth, for youth. The showcase is a fully supervised, drug-, smoke-, alcohol- and vape-free event, with free food and live music, and entertainment provided. The 2024 Youth Awards nominees will be honoured, and the 2024 Youth Art Prize exhibition winners will be announced. Entry is free.

The Soul Brothers

The Setts – 6.30pm

BE serenaded during dinner by local duo Iwan Soebardi and Steve Parr, with plenty of time afterwards to dance the night away. Tickets can be booked by calling 03 5023 0474


SATURDAY

Sunraysia Burnout Association Fun Day

Sunset Strip – 9am-5pm

REV-heads are welcome to burn some rubber in a safe and legal environment at an event-first for the region. Activities for children including face painting, a jumping castle, giant Jenga and Connect 4, lucky dips and corn hole will all be available on the day. Food and drink including popcorn, fairy floss and food-van specialities will be available for purchase. There will be raffle giveaways running, as well as a $200 door prize.

Mildura Gem and Jewellery Expo

Sunraysia Masonic Centre – 9am

DISCOVER some of the best gems, fossils, jewellery and stones during the expo’s 30th anniversary. Tickets will be available from the door.

Millewa Football Netball League grand final day

Lake Cullulleraine Ovals — from 9am

Action in the senior men and women’s football as well as all netball grades takes to the field and court in the culmination of the MFNL’s 2024 season. Action gets underway from 9am with the 15 and under grand final, while Werrimull take on Nangiloc in the A Grade game from 1pm. On the footy field it’s Werrimull v Cardross in the women from 12.30pm and the men go from 2.30pm with Banbill taking on Cardross.

Salsa at The Setts

The Setts – 7pm-10pm

KICK up your heels for a high-energy night of dancing solo, with friends or with a brand-new dance partner. Beginner-friendly dance lessons will help you master the basics with no experience required. A complimentary drink will be offered on arrival for early-bird ticket holders, and happy hour will run 7pm to 8pm. There will additionally be a raffle with tickets available for purchase on arrival and throughout the night. Early-bird tickets can be purchased at tinyurl.com/m9xbnan5.

The Mind Field

Mildura Arts Centre – 8pm

AMERICAN comedian Arj Barker is coming back to Mildura for the fifth stop of his current 19-show tour. Barker will take audiences on a journey to answer some of life’s biggest questions, including “Why are we here?”, “Are we alone in the universe?” and “Why does it hurt when we pee?” The performance has an age restriction of 15+ years. Tickets can be purchased via Mildura Arts Centre website.

Red Cliffs Country Market

Barclay Square – 9am

BROWSE and explore more than 80 stalls while enjoying local entertainment. Kids will also be entertained by a wide variety of fun activities.

Solace Exhibition Opening

Workspace 3496 + Gallery – 1pm

THE first exhibit for local visual arts and photography artist Elisa Smith will open officially, ahead of a month-long feature. Inspiration for the work came from the depth of light and shadows.

Sing Your Socks Off

Powerhouse Place – 2pm-4pm

JOIN the Sunraysia Community Choir for a free concert featuring a variety of music genres, from rock to gospel and ballads. Individual local talents will also be in the program, including singer-songwriter and public figure Helen Healy, vocalist Ailsa Robinson and musician Liz Lawrence. The newly formed AMES choir will also be making its first public appearance. Tickets can be picked up from Elm in Mildura Central or the Mildura Visitor and Information Centre.
