Ouyen United netball player profiles

Kyra Nathan (playing coach) – A centre who can still do it all, she is strong in defence and even stronger in attack. She plays with her heart on her sleeve every week and provides so much voice and guidance for the whole team.

Esther Manley (captain) – A strong and dynamic defender who has great anticipation. She works hard at stopping her opponent from scoring and is always there to support her team. A captain who leads from the front.

Bree Barker – The ultimate playmaker and every shooter’s dream when it comes to feeding around the ring. She is the master of the front cut, and runs out each game with style and finesse. The smiling assassin.

Catherine Brown – Defender turned GA this season who has had a stellar year, finishing third in best and fairest. She guides the attacking end with her exceptional voice and leadership

Tsharni Burns – The epitome of team. Has the best defensive timing when defending a shot and has the ability to turn the ball over at crucial moments. Has the loudest voice on the court and will always have your back.

Kathy Carusella – Although usually the smallest on the court, Kathy is often the swiftest player. Pocket rocket with a never give up attitude. Game changer with her endurance and constantly providing defensive pressure down the court.

Casey Crothers – Casey brings a wealth of experience – her presence makes the team walk taller. Her read of the play and aerial skills are unmatched.

Megan Jardine – Athletic with great speed and agility. A versatile mid courter who never gives up and plays her role for the team. The ultimate team player.

Kate Lockett – The ultimate wingman. Kate brings a sense of calm to the team, but don’t let that fool you. Her defensive pressure is second to none.

Ellen Morrish – Ruthless in defence and lightning fast in attack. Ellen has the ability to change a game by disrupting her opposition and her uncanny ability to read the play and take intercepts. Her athleticism and passion to win at all costs is pivotal to the Kangas. The perfect impact player!

Fiona Sanford – Versatile player who provides speed, accuracy and a positive attitude. Agile and strong across the court, excellent ability to position herself and execute goals under pressure.

Maggie Smith – A calm player who backs herself on the shot, has great hands and elevation. Can play at both ends of the court. Her versatility, height and amazing ability to take an overhead ball is a valuable asset for the team.
