MILDURA coach Mark Alvey has praised his playing group for its ability to step up to cover injuries to key personnel this season.
Saturday’s surprise loss to Wentworth ended a 10-game winning streak for the Demons, which coincided with a testing period of forced team changes.
“We’ve probably got a squad of 26-27. Through the injuries it’s given some great exposure to some young guys and some other guys around the periphery,” Alvey said.
