NEW Mildura joint coach Heath Caldwell has backed his side in despite a series of high-profile departures for the 2018 SFNL season.
On top of coach Mark Alvey departing, the Demons have lost Andrew Richardson, who has moved on to coach Robinvale-Euston, and key forward Dustin Gordon, who has left the club for Tooleybuc-Manangatang in the Central Murray Football League.
“I think you’ll find most of the 2017 season we were missing so-called topline players,” Caldwell said.
