Fans set to hail the grail

SOME of the Richmond faithful in Sunraysia could have been forgiven for thinking they would never see it.

But after 37 years without the ultimate success, the Tigers’ AFL premiership cup will be proudly showcased at a community day in Mildura today.

Sunraysia’s Tiger Army and sports fans can get up close with Australian football’s holy grail, which will be displayed in Langtree Mall between 11am and 3pm, as part of the Richmond 2017 premiership cup tour.

Mildura’s Richmond legend and 1980 premiership player Dale “Flea” Weightman and recently retired Tigers ruckman Ivan Maric attended a special function hosted by the Sunraysia Tigers Richmond Supporter Group last night.
