Football gold: Football prospects pioneer the way in search for AFL glory

THE football talent coming out of Sunraysia is “really healthy”, according to Bendigo Pioneers talent manager Steve Sharp.

Highly rated former Wentworth key position player Jarrod Brander and South Mildura midfield product Lochie O’Brien, who both went through the Pioneers program, are regarded as being among the top prospects in next week’s AFL national draft.

The Pioneers have launched their 2018 TAC Cup season preparations ahead of the draft, which Sharp said provided a measure of their program’s success each year.
