Star utility looks at a rest for Irymple clash: Robinvale-Euston blow

A KNEE complaint has all but ruled star Robinvale-Euston utility Leon Johnson out of this weekend’s crunch SFNL encounter with Irymple at John James Oval.

The Eagles’ assistant coach left the field with knee swelling and sat out the second half of his side’s 37-point loss to Ouyen United on Saturday and looks unlikely to face the reigning premiers.

“There was a bit of swelling and bruising coming through (yesterday) so I’ll have to go get it checked out,” Johnson said.

“I’ll probably be looking to have a rest this week depending on the swelling and soreness. I’ll get back the following week and see how we go.
