Smells like flag spirit for Robinvale-Euston

IF Robinvale-Euston’s young group sticks together the side could emulate the past Eagles’ feats of 2010, premiership-winning utility Daniel Iudica says.

Iudica, 23, is one of four Eagles players named today – along with Don Falvo, Justin Neyland and Jakob Garreffa – to have played in the side’s last SFNL flag eight years ago (the injured Leon Johnson was also in the 2010 side).

Iudica was just 15 at the start of that season, turning 16 the month before the grand final, and he said while the current-era Eagles had a long way to go  they were on the right track.

“As long as everyone sticks together I do see us being as good as the 2010 team,” Iudica said. “It’d be hard to compare to the 2010 team, they were more mature and had bigger bodies back then compared to now – we are a young side now.
