
WHEN Robinvale-Euston’s Jakob Garreffa steps on to City Oval today against Imperials, it will be his 200th game as a senior Eagle – and he wouldn’t have it any other way.
Recalling his first senior match in 2005, against Merbein, Garreffa said the nerves were strong.
“I was pretty nervous, for sure, but also really excited,” he said.
“There were a couple of other boys making their debut with the Eagles as well, so it was good to have that support from them and kind of go through it together.”
Then-coach Donny Falvo said the decision to have 17-year old Garreffa step up into the seniors was an easy one.
