SUNRAYSIA progressed to the 2018 Netball Victoria Association Championships finals in Melbourne next month with an impressive showing in the Northern zone tournament.
It was a successful weekend for Sunraysia representative teams at the association championships regional qualifier event in Bendigo on Sunday, reaching the final for their region in four of the five divisions.
Sunraysia finished runners-up to Bendigo in the Northern under 17 and under championship after a brave 13-10 defeat in the final, which was enough to qualify for the championships finals at the State Netball Hockey Centre on June 17.
In a hectic schedule of 11 matches in one day, the Sunraysia girls won seven of their nine round-robin games to reach the semi-finals, where they defeated Wimmera 20-3.
