MILDURA are set to secure the services of giant former North East Australian Football League ruckman-forward Luke Gemmill to add to their young lineup.
Former Ainslie footballer Gemmill, 32, had a clearance pending yesterday to the City Oval-based club which, once signed off, would pave the way for the 203cm and 112kg big man to don the Demons colours.
“Essentially I just returned from the United States, I’d been over there for six months, I’d planned to retire from football this year but I’ve been speaking with the club via a friend of mine (Mildura assistant coach Jacob Gooden),” he said.
